As the coldest part of winter starts to thaw out, New England skiers know that the best skiing is yet to come this season. New England ski resorts are holding lots of amazing events and parties to wrap up the 2013/2014 ski season. We checked in with our partners to get a list of the best options for late season skiing this year.


Life is Good Nor’Beaster Festival – March 22
This all-ages festival turns Killington into a huge party. There’s free music resort-wide all day, and sales are donated to help kids in need. Check out Josh Panda and the Hot Damned, Assembly of Dust or Allen Stone in the Bear Mountain base area, or catch live music après ski all over the resort.

Mogul Camp with Olympic Gold Medalist Donna Weinbrecht – March 22 & 23
This brand new weekend retreat features this mogul skiing pioneer and an amazing learning experience. Enjoy two days of skiing, meals with the group, lessons and even a video analysis.


Simon Dumont Cup – March 28 & 29
Simon Dumont will be hosting the biggest pro-am freeski competition in the East. The event will be held in the brand new T72 Terrain Park and will be fueled by the excitement of this year’s debut of halfpipe and slopstyle freeskiing in the Olympics. Check out last year's video, click here.

Chili Cook-Off & Firefighters Race – March 30
Firefighters from around New England team up to race down Tempest in full turnout gear with a fire hose. The day continues with live music, a variety of chili cook-offs and eating contests and tons of fun.

Parrot Head Weekend with BSSC – April 4-6
This is the best way to close the season out with a bang!  BSSC’s trip to Parrot Head at Sunday River includes skiing & riding, all the parties and shenanigans, hot tubbing, live music and more. From Bust N Burn bump contests to the famous key lime pie-eating contest, there’s something for everyone and BSSC makes sure you experience it in style.


35th Annual Beach Party – March 29
Celebrate fun in the sun (and snow) with live music, Long Trail giveaways and wet & wild fun at the Pump House indoor water park where you can surf, climb, float and boogie board!


Ski & Stay at the Omni Mount Washington Resort – March 21-23
Take a trip to this world-famous resort and take in Mt. Washington with skiing at Bretton Woods. If skiing isn’t your thing, spend the weekend at the spa, take a tour of the historical hotel or have a drink in the old speakeasy. Activities range from snowshoeing to ziplining, so there’s something for everyone.
