SUMMER INTERN SPORTS PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Volleyball, Kickball, Ultimate Frisbee

Great opportunity to experience the sports industry up close and personal! The Boston Ski & Sports Club (BSSC) is recruiting an energetic, detail-oriented sports coordinator to assist in its summer volleyball, kickball and ultimate frisbee programs.  Help the sports department with a variety of field and office tasks, to ensure that all fields and facilities are set up and ready for play, meet and greet players at various night leagues and assist with administrative tasks which may span other areas of the business.  The position is roughly 40 hours per week with varied hours between 10am and dusk.  Monday through Thursday are the busiest days, with shorter Fridays and occasional weekend work.  Start date is preferred for mid-late May, but can be flexible for earlier or later.  This is your chance to work for a fun, casual company located in Watertown, MA and be involved with Boston’s largest recreational sports programs.

Responsibilities:
• Act as BSSC liaison to team representatives and players, to complete necessary facility/league logistics (i.e. greet teams, prepare and distribute supplies).
• Foster positive relationships and encourage on-going league participation while at the same time promoting other BSSC leagues and activities
• Set up volleyball nets and kickball fields
• Distribute products from sponsors to participants.
• Take video and photos of teams and games to share on social media platforms.
• Handle phone calls, emails, registrations, rosters and standings.
• Perform other office administrative tasks and projects as needed.
 
Requirements:
• Responsible professionalism and work ethic
• Excellent customer service and sales orientation (i.e. outgoing, friendly, polite, helpful)
• Self-motivated, positive and flexible team player
• Strong communication and attention to detail
• Able to handle multiple priorities and troubleshoot issues with calm and consistency
• Ability to show continued enthusiasm for BSSC activities and have fun
• Must have a car
• Love of the game

League Coordinators

Players are often needed to be on-site coordinators for BSSC sports leagues, like Basketball, Kickball, Volleyball and more.  Coordinators must be responsible, people-oriented individuals with some experience and knowledge of their sport.  You will play for free and/or may collect a small stipend for equipment set-up and overseeing the league.  Please check the website for more details on the leagues, then email your interest and experience to Mark Robarts at mark@bssc.com.

Day Ski & Snowboard Trip Leaders

BSSC is looking for enthusiastic skiers and snowboarders to lead BSSC day trips this winter.  You must be outgoing and organized. Trips run all day on Saturdays and Sundays and the schedule is flexible.  Leaders must be responsible, people-oriented individuals with some knowledge and experience in skiing/snowboarding and leadership. You will ski/ride for FREE and be asked to spread the word about BSSC to fill the buses with friends and co-workers!  The number of openings is limited each season.
